About Me
Knitting for Those in Need is a not-for-profit charitable organization that promotes the use of the yarn arts of loom knitting, needle knitting, and crochet to create warm and safe items to serve people in need. We strive to empower people by teaching knitting skills at community and campus gatherings. Our goal is to make a significant impact by creating warmer, safer, and more hopeful communities. Â We are a fun and friendly group of giving people who are committed to the goal of making items to help others. All supplies are provided at our gatherings and no experience is necessary. We will share our knowledge of the yarn arts freely with anyone who wishes to give time to help others. Our current projects include Knitted Knockers for breast cancer survivors, Twiddle Muff for dementia patients, specially designed scarves for the homeless and others needs requested of us.
