The Black Squirrel Piecemakers are a group of women who make quilts for babies in the community who are in need. We give the quilts to Project Linus who distributes them. We are a new group who meet here in the parish hall every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until noon. No skills are required. Everyone is learning new skills. No sewing machine is required, but one can be brought to the group. We would love to have others join us. For more information contact Georgia Kingsley at gkingsley@triad.rr.com or (336)209-4210. We hope to see you soon.

Thank you for your blanket. I grew up in Kent- my maiden name is Ullinger I graduated in 1996 from RHS. So today as we were planning to leave children’s hospital after my daughters outpatient surgery and one of the things they covered her up with was a quilt you donated. When I saw the black squirrel tag I knew it was likely from my hometown and it was a little hug to me as well. I would love to send you a pic of her with it. She isn’t an infant she just recently turned 12. But know that it still is like the blocks were chosen for her and this time. Thank you for a hug.
