Faith Foundations classes are suitable for anyone wishing to prepare for his/her baptism (or baptism of his/her child), confirmation, reaffirmation or reception from the Roman Catholic church during Bishop Hollingsworth visit on September 13th.

Classes also offer the opportunity to embark in an in-depth exploratory journeyof the Christian faith.

You will learn about:

• Baptism: the sacrament of adoption by God as His child and as a member of His church.
• Confirmation: the sacrament of anointing and laying on of hands by a Bishop to empower you to carry out your Christian ministry as a baptized person in God’s church. Sometimes called “lay ordination.”
• Reception: recognition by the Bishop with laying on of hands as a person baptized and confirmed in the Catholic tradition.
• Reaffirmation: re-commitment to your confirmation vows with laying on of hands by the Bishop.

You need not make the commitment up front to do any of these in order to attend the class. Just come and experience a renewed faith and decide what’s best for you. Nonmembers are very welcome to attend to explore the Christian faith – invite your friends. Classes will meet: 

• Sunday Aug 23rd 11:15-12:45 (lunch provided)
• Saturday Aug 29th 9:00-12:00 (snacks provided)
• Sunday Sep 6th 11:15-12:45 (lunch provided)
• Sunday Sep 13th 9:00-10:00 with the Bishop (for anyone being baptized, confirmed, reaffirmed or received)
