Christ Episcopal Church

Christ Episcopal Church of Kent, OH will offer a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 5th as part of our 10:00 am service of Holy Communion. All kinds of animals and their owners are invited to attend. Pets should be in carriers or on leashes. There will be a separate quiet space inside for shy pets in carriers who would not be comfortable attending the entire service. Prayers will also be offered by name for pets who have died or who cannot be present.

The service will be followed by a reception with refreshments, at which pets will be individually blessed by the priest. Pets with health problems can also receive laying on of hands for healing. Visitors and their pets are welcome to attend. Christ Episcopal Church is a fully inclusive and child-friendly church located at 118 South Mantua Street (Route 43) in Kent.
